Mary, Christmas, Eve

A stunning graphic circulating around Twitter and Facebook today… see Genesis 3:15 and Matt 1:21 for how this picture captures the good news of the Christmas story.

Giftings, Timings and Mince Pie-ing

This week will be the last MY Sunday of 2015!

Elderly Man Opening Gift

We have decided to do a ‘Secret Santa’ present collection which will be given to the Connect group which is run by the church for over 50s.
So don’t forget to bring a present that could be given as a gift to a member of the Connect group as a Christmas present.

…also change in time for one week only:

As its Christmas you can have a lie in on us! MY Sunday will start at the later time of 10am when we will wrap these presents and enjoy some imagemince pies (other snacks also available!) and hot chocolate, as well as doing some pretty cool activities not to be missed!!
We will finish main time together at 10:30 allowing opportunity for those taking part in the service to get to their practices.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Good News of Great Joy

The lead up to Christmas is such a busy time… cards to write, presents to buy, school Christmas events and end of term festivities, carol services galore, mince pies and of course the obligatory Christmas jumper!!

imageIn amongst all the busyness it’s so easy to lose focus of what Christmas is all about. With that in mind John Piper has put together a booklet of short advent readings to help stir our soul once more with the wonder of Christmas.

You can see him talking excitedly here, where you will also be able to download for FREE the Christmas devotions in EPUB, MOBI and PDF formats. Why not start your Christmas reflections today?

Some 2W2L tech support!

Sunday mornings has seen us digging into the ‘Two Ways to Live’ gospel outline. Our hope is that each of you will understand the gospel more clearly, and secondly that you will feel a growing confidence to be able to explain to friends at school what it means to be a Christian.

To this end let me point you in the direction of some resources to help you remember the 2W2L outline:
